Green Tea Kit Kat

I ordered some Green Tea Kit Kat bars from Samurai Japan on the Amazon Marketplace! Woo hoo! They arrived today, and are delicious.

The bag I ordered has 12 mini-bars in it. I'll be honest, I'm not quite sure how to describe the flavor. I've had (American) brewed green tea before, but it does not taste like that. The bars are not as sweet as an American Kit Kat, and there's a hint of something that almost wants to be bitter but falls short. The flavor intrigues me, and I like it! I will order more, and look forward to trying different flavors.

I was very pleased with the service from Samurai Japan. They have a web-site:

I'm off to enjoy another Kit Kat or two! Take care!

MORE Action Figures... including Monkees! Other updates...

My big score seems to be the Monkees action figures I got recently! They're gorgeous! Figures Toy Company offers three sets, and I chose the ones with the four button shirts. I'm hoping to get the Monkeeman and Tuxedo sets as well.

Also from FTC, is Mary Marvel! She's gorgeous, and I'm so pleased to finally have a Mary Marvel (re)Mego! I hope they continue to do more members of the Marvel Family! Shazam!

I also got the Super Friends: Samurai figure. He looks great, tho the head is loose on mine. C'est la vie. He's still awesome!

From DC Direct, I have the New52 version of Captain Cold. Loving Captain Cold on Legends Of Tomorrow, so I decided to get this figure. Cold has been one of my favourite Flash villains.

Sadly, my action figure collecting will be slowing down. My car needed over $1,000 in repairs this past week! It went in twice! Oy vey! I had help, but it still hurts. I have to pay that back. On top of that, I also have to find money to set aside for MegaCon in late May. I'm going to that with my nephew. And then, also need money to keep things going like art, photography, writing... Oh, the joys of being a freelancer! I had just begun rebuilding my savings from replacing my computer in January when this happened.

If you're feeling generous and would like to help me keep things going, you can PayPal me here:

You can also help by buying something from one of my links to the right. eBay has beefcake photos. Society6 has a variety of art on a variety of products. Comic book art is at Zazzle, again on a variety of products. Take you pick from the sites as there are a lot of options! I have purchased from every site I sell on, and the merchandise is outstanding!

Awesome Action Figures!

So, I'm a fan of comics and I love to collect action figures as well! I recently got some great ones!

The first two are from the Amazing Heroes series. They had a Kickstart campaign, and I got Silver Streak from them. The John Aman Amazing Man figure came from a Kickstart by Gallant Comics. The figures are awesome! They are similar to the Secret Wars (and Super Powers) figures of the early 1980's. I enjoyed those figures back then, even though I was getting to the age of setting aside playing with toys. I never did stop collecting them.

In addition to Silver Streak, there are other golden-age heroes such as Black Terror, Dare Devil, and Green Turtle. They even have more modern characters such as Captain Action and Madman. Check out the store at http://freshmonkeyfiction to pick up some of these great figures.

As a kid, I loved the clothed Mego figures. They had heroes from DC Comics and Marvel Comics. Awesome stuff! Figures Toy Company continue the tradition with DC characters, offering reproductions and new additions to the lines. In recent months, I picked up their First Appearance Batgirl (with removable cowl) and the Super Friends: Apache Chief figures. I love both of them, and I'm happy to *finally* have a Batgirl figure! I could never find her when I was a kid! This company has a lot to offer, so be sure to check them out. You can even pre-order from them! (I've got some of the Monkees figures on pre-order, and I eagerly await their arrival!)

From Diamond Select, comes Wolverine! This was a find on Amazon, for about half the retail price. The set comes with a body, three costumes, heads, hands, and a book. I bought two additional bodies so that I could have a figure dressed in each outfit. Worth it! While I like the attention to detail the provide, I do fine their full retail price a bit much. I want more of these awesome sets, but will keep my eyes open for sales!

With so many great figures out there, there's always something new to pick up! Of course, I believe in opening my figures, and I display them out of the package. These are toys and meant to be played with, or at the very least, opened! I know that there are collectors who enjoy keeping everything packaged. You know what, there's no wrong way to collect! Do what makes you happy. I enjoy opening my toys, and feeling like a kid again! I wish some of these great toys had been around back when I was a kid!

Captain Battle T-Shirt!

Public Domain super-hero Captain Battle is the subject of my new t-shirt design! You can get your awesome Captain Battle tee at
