Today's drawing is Animal, from Tippy Teen.
Tippy Teen was a teen humour comic published in the late 1960's by Tower Comics, who were also responsible for the T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents. Tippy was an Archie clone, even down to the artists who worked on it. Samm Schwartz of Archie Comics fame.
Animal was kind of the "Big Moose" of Tippy Teen, with a dash of "Jughead" thrown in. Tippy Teen is a fun title, and had two spin-offs... "Go Go & Animal" and "Teen-In". All worth checking out. Atlas Comics ran five issues of "Vicki" in the early 1970's, which were reprints of Tippy Teen with Tippy's name changed to Vicki.
